Breaking up is hard to do. Desperate and lonely, when Stan (Michael Stahl-David) learns
that his ex, Cathy (Ashley Bell), will be in Austin for the weekend, he hops on the first
flight to the Lone Star State in hopes of “accidentally” running into her there. Little does
he know that another breakup crisis will greet him in Austin between his friends Jeff
(Zach Cregger) and Kara (Sara Paxton). Cavorting through Austin’s honkytonks,
nightclubs, and a cutthroat air-sex competition, the two former couples find bouncing
back from heartache to be unexpectedly complicated. An outrageous but heartfelt
comedy, THE BOUNCEBACK is Bryan Poyser’s follow-up to the hit Sundance film,

Also playing is the premiere episode of the locally produced webseries Sunken City.

Sunken City is a comedy web series made in New Orleans. Inspired by the city’s one-of-a-kind characters, the show unlocks a hidden world of gutter punks, old money aristocrats, wide-eyed transplants, pirate people and countless other schemers and dreamers – all fighting to leave their mark on city as scattered as they are.

10:00p, Cafe Istanbul: Todd Barry w/ Andrew Polk, Vincent Zambon, Ariel Elias

You know Todd Barry. Maybe it’s through Dr. Katz, Aqua Teen Hunger Force or his recent Comedy Central special. It could be one of his four albums or one of his many appearances in various film projects. Todd sold out two shows at The New Movement in 2012 very quickly – advance tickets highly recommended.

Andrew Polk is the curator and host of NOLA Comedy Hour which produces a weekly showcase in New Orleans at Hi-Ho Lounge, and tours the country several times a year. He also hosts and produces the weekly Comedy Beast showcase every Tuesday at Howlin’ Wolf Den.”

Vincent Zambon is a touring comic from New Orleans. He’s traveled with the NOLA Comedy Hour and performs regularly at House of Blues and The New Movement.

Ariel Elias currently co-hosts a weekly show and open mic at the House of Blues in New Orleans, and can be seen performing regularly around the Gulf Coast. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, going to the park with a dog that she is probably a little obsessed with, and over-analyzing her previous (failed) relationships.
